
In line with our mission to offer a seamless yet, relevant business model to all our clients (vendors and buyers), we are introducing the individual-interest packaging material sale.
This new model — that we consider more as a process — basically implies externalizing packaging material’s supply to improve our order processing flow along with meeting our ecology responsibility duty.

More practically, this aims at…
- Reducing queues at our vendor drop-off stations, hence speeding up the overall shipment process
- Giving our vendors the opportunity to experience and test their buyers’ experience on JUMIA
- Enable the possibility for all vendors to use their own packaging material and thus explore other ways to strengthen their brand
- AND… Definitively discontinue charging vendors any Pack fees
What does this imply?
This simply emphasizes the fact it is not compulsory to use JUMIA‘s packaging materials and that, except for the products stored at our Warehouse (Jumia Express) JUMIA will only act as a marketplace for anyone willing to use our branded packaging to securely deliver his products.
Of course, using one’s own packaging material should be in good compliance with our standard product safety measures as summarized below:







Please note that the quality check process has not changed so remember to submit your orders to your preferred hub unsealed. Our Hub agents will confirm the product is what was ordered before you seal the packaging.
